Akin Gump Advises The United Distribution Group in Acquisition by SunSource Holdings

(Washington, D.C.) – SunSource Holdings, Inc., a leading distributor of fluid power and fluid process components and systems in the United States and Canada, today announced a definitive agreement to acquire The United Distribution Group, Inc. (UDG), a leading distributor of fluid conveyance and related products and services. Akin Gump advised UDG in the transaction, for which terms were not disclosed.
UDG is one of the largest distributors of industrial components and assemblies in North America, primarily serving maintenance, repair and operations needs across energy, mining and other industrial end markets. The deal is expected to close in August.
The Akin Gump deal team was led by corporate partner Iain Wood. He was joined by corporate partner Frederick Lee, counsel Evan Goodman and Clare Joyce and associate Jacqueline Lewis.
