(Los Angeles) – VCA Inc., a leading animal health care company in the United States and Canada, has announced the closing of its previously announced acquisition of an 80 percent ownership interest in Companion Animal Practices, North America (CAPNA).  CAPNA, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, operates a network of 56 free-standing animal hospitals. Akin Gump advised VCA in the matter.
