Akin Gump was among several firms honored by Asian Legal Business in the category of TMT Deal of the Year as part of the magazine’s Law Awards.
The winning deal—“eAccess-Softbank Share Exchange”—was an October 2012 transaction in which Akin Gump advised Japanese mobile and ADSL telecom provider eAccess on its purchase by Japanese mobile and Internet carrier Softbank Corp. for $2.3 billion.
