“Jeffrey’s legal skills extend far beyond those of traditional M&A attorneys,” said Danny Golden, partner-in-charge in the firm’s New York office. “His broad range of transactional experience and solid track record complement Akin Gump’s existing New York corporate practice. Our clients will benefit from his ability to add value to complicated transactions by addressing their strategic business objectives.”

Mr. Kochian received his B.A. from the University of Rochester in 1990 and his J.D. magna cum laude in 1998 from Cornell Law School.

“Akin Gump’s corporate practice was a natural fit. I was initially attracted to the firm’s strong private equity, M&A, hedge fund and financial restructuring practices and was later impressed by the firm’s strong commitment to client service and the level of teamwork within the office,” said Mr. Kochian of his move to Akin Gump.

Founded in 1945, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, a leading international law firm, numbers more than 1,000 lawyers in the United States, Europe and Asia.
