(New York) – Akin Gump has been honored by Sanctuary for Families for its leadership in providing pro bono staffing to New York City’s Human Trafficking Intervention Courts.

Akin Gump was one of several law firms recognized at the organization’s 13th annual Above & Beyond Pro Bono Awards dinner. The benefit honors members of the legal community who have gone “above and beyond” by providing outstanding pro bono representation and advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sex trafficking and related forms of gender violence.

Sanctuary for Families is New York’s leading service provider and advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence.
