Akin Gump Houston Honored with Human Rights First’s Frankel Award

(New York) – Akin Gump is proud to announce that, at its annual award ceremony and gala in New York City, Human Rights First (HRF) bestowed its Marvin E. Frankel Award on the Houston office of the firm.

The award recognizes the pro bono work that Akin Gump has performed in asylum immigration matters referred by HRF (learn more here).

The award is named for the former chairman of HRF’s board of directors Judge Marvin E. Frankel, considered a “founding father of Human Rights First,” who dedicated himself to “making a difference in the human rights movement.”

Akin Gump Houston senior counsel Roxanne Tizravesh accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
