Akin Gump Named Among Top Employment Defense, Insurance Firms Nationwide

(Washington, D.C.) – Law360 has named Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP to its lists of the top  employment defense and insurance law firms of 2009.

Law360 recognized Akin Gump as one of the five employment defense firms that “stood out for their work on some of the year’s major cases.” The newswire noted the firm’s success in overturning on appeal a $105 million verdict against Starbucks Corp. in a tip pooling class action, as well as its success in other class action lawsuits, including a “significant win” for Home Depot in defeating class certification in a misclassification action.
