(New York) – Akin Gump’s corporate and financial restructuring work placed it among the top law firms last year, according to several reporting agencies.

The firm was ranked in the top 15 in the category of global legal advisor to both issuers and managers in U.S. equity offerings, according to Bloomberg. Thomson Reuters’ placed Akin Gump’s shareholder activism work among the top 10 global legal advisors.

For its restructuring work, Akin Gump was ranked in the top five in the category of top counsel to creditors for out-of-court restructuring in a ranking by The Deal. The same publication placed the firm in the top 10 for its work advising debtors.
