Akin Gump Receives Gold Standard Certification from Women in Law Empowerment Forum

(New York) – The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF), an organization exclusively dedicated to women from the largest law firms and corporate law departments in the United States, has awarded Akin Gump with 2018 Gold Standard Certification.

Gold Standard status is given to the major firms that meet objective criteria concerning the number of women among equity partners, in firm leadership positions and in the ranks of their most highly compensated partners. To make the list this year, a firm was required to have either 20 percent of equity partners be women or 33 percent of the attorneys becoming equity partners during the past twelve months be women, in addition to meeting other specific criteria.
