Akin Gump Receives Thomas L. Sager Award

(Washington, D.C.) - Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, L.L.P. has received the 2001 Thomas L. Sager Award from the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. The award, which was presented at the Association’s annual Diversity Dinner on June 21 in Washington, recognizes law firms that have shown a sustained effort to improve the hiring, retention and promotion of minority attorneys.

The Sager Award was created as a tribute to DuPont Associate General Counsel Thomas L. Sager, who during the course of his career has demonstrated a relentless commitment to increasing diversity in the legal profession. Akin Gump previously received the Sager Award in 1999.
