Akin Gump Recognized with 11th Consecutive Perfect Score on HRC Corporate Equality Index

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is proud to announce that, for the 11th year in a row, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation has awarded the firm a perfect score on its Corporate Equality Index (CEI).

The CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

The 2018 CEI report evaluates businesses’ LGBTQ-related policies and practices such as non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

Because of its perfect score, Akin Gump has been designated a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

The firm’s achievements in diversity were also recently recognized by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association with its Sager Award (learn more here).
