(New York) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce it has been shortlisted for the upcoming Financial Times Innovative Lawyers North America awards.

The firm was named a finalist in the “Practice of law - Finance” category for its work on Pacific Gas & Electric’s $30+ billion bankruptcy, in which the firm advised the ad hoc group of senior unsecured noteholders of the nation’s largest utility.

Winners of the Innovative Lawyers North America awards will be recognized at a virtual awards presentation on December 10. The report will also be published in a supplement of the Financial Times on December 11.
