Akin Gump Shortlisted for Houston Corporate Philanthropy Recognition

(Houston) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a finalist for Houston Business Journal’s inaugural Corporate Philanthropy Awards. The Corporate Philanthropy Awards will be held on November 1 in Houston.

The Journal looks to recognize “the businesses that make giving a part of their culture” by spotlighting those companies “that make Houston one of the top cities in the United States each year for corporate giving.” The Journal notes that companies will be recognized in small, medium, and large categories based on giving and volunteer hours—Akin Gump has been shortlisted as a large company in the “hours volunteered” category.
