Al From Authors Book on History of The “New Democrats”

Al From, a consultant at Akin Gump and founder of the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC), has written The New Democrats and the Return to Power, which was published this month.
In the book, From outlines the principles at the heart of the centrist Democrat movement, including economic centrism, national security and entitlement reform, and why they are “vital to the success of the Democratic Party in the years ahead.” The DLC was founded in 1985 and is widely credited with the resurgence of the modern Democratic party.
