Alice Hsu Receives National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Pro Bono Award

(New York) – Akin Gump corporate partner Alice Hsu has been named a recipient of this year’s National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Pro Bono Award.

The award recognizes an attorney or a team of attorneys for outstanding achievements in pro bono service that either “involved impact litigation to advance or protect civil rights” or “provided direct legal services to individuals in the furtherance of the administration of justice.”

Ms. Hsu played a key role in several recent high-profile pro bono matters for Akin Gump. She was part of the team that served as pro bono counsel to historians and the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality in filing a Supreme Court amicus brief in the successful challenge to the federal government’s decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
