Alice Hsu Recognized as 2014 Rising Star by New York Law Journal
Akin Gump corporate partner Alice Hsu has been named one of 42 young lawyers chosen as 2014 Rising Stars by New York Law Journal. The recognition honors “attorneys 40 and under who have established a record of accomplishments and demonstrated that they are top contributors to the practice of law and their communities.”
An NYLJ profile published today in conjunction with the recognition notes that Hsu’s practice includes “advising issuers, underwriters and selling stockholders in public offerings and private placements of equity and debt.” She is also spotlighted for “taking the lead” with a team of Akin Gump lawyers to launch a social media practice to help clients “manage social media-related risk inherent in business today.”
In addition to her practice, Hsu serves as co-chair of the Corporate Leadership Committee for the New York Women’s Foundation, which funds organizations and programs within the five boroughs of New York City that have developed strategies to move women and girls—at or below the poverty level—towards long–term economic security.
