Allison Binney To Be Honored with NCAIED “Native American 40 Under 40” Award

(Washington, D.C.) – The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development has selected Akin Gump American Indian practice partner Allison Binney to receive the organization’s prestigious “Native American 40 Under 40” award.

The award acknowledges “those emerging Native American, Alaska Native and First Nation citizens between 18 and 39 years of age, who have demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication to achieve significant contributions to Native communities throughout North America.”  The award will be presented at the 38th Annual Indian Progress in Business Awards Gala, which will run from October 22 to 24.

Ms. Binney is a member of the Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians in California.  Prior to her work at Akin Gump, she served as staff director and chief counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs.
