Anne-Marie Godfrey Named the “Best in Banking and Finance” at Euromoney’s Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2015

(Hong Kong) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that investment management partner Anne-Marie Godfrey has been named the “Best in Banking and Finance” at Euromoney’s Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2015, held in Hong Kong this evening.
The awards, which bring together the best female lawyers from across the region, celebrate women leading the field in key practice areas across Asia. Akin Gump Hong Kong partner Naomi Moore was also shortlisted for the awards, in the “Best in Insolvency & Restructuring” category.
Ms. Godfrey, who heads the firm’s investment management practice in Hong Kong, is well known for advising fund managers on the establishment of hedge funds, private equity funds and retail funds throughout Asia. She also advises investment advisers, fund administrators, trustees and other service providers on funds-related issues.
This award follows Ms. Godfrey being named one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds by The Hedge Fund Journal in June 2015 (learn more here). She has also been widely recognized as a leading lawyer in Chambers Asia, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific and IFLR 1000 (Asia Pacific).
