Anthony Pierce Among Washington Business Journal’s Power 100

(Washington) – Akin Gump Washington, D.C. partner in charge Anthony Pierce has been recognized as being among the most influential business leaders in the Washington, D.C., area by Washington Business Journal in its third annual “Power 100.”
In Pierce’s featured profile, WBJ recognizes his contributions to the D.C. area, including his work as chairman-elect of the Greater Washington Board of Trade and as a presidential appointee to the D.C. Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure, as well as his service as a board member of Washington 2024, an organization formed to promote Washington D.C.’s bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games. The publication also notes that Pierce helped found The Potomac Coalition, an African-American organization that advocates for national urban economic issues.
In December 2013, Pierce was honored as among the “Most Admired CEOs of 2013” by Washington Business Journal, and in 2012 he was recognized as one of that publication’s “Minority Business Leaders.”
