Anthony Pierce Named To Washington Business Journal’s Power 100 List of “Most Influential Businesspeople”

(Washington) — Washington Business Journal has recognized Akin Gump partner Anthony Pierce among its annual Power 100 list of the most influential local business leaders of the year. This is Mr. Pierce’s fourth such recognition in the last six years.

In its profile, WBJ spotlights Mr. Pierce, who serves as partner-in-charge of Akin Gump’s Washington, D.C. office—the area’s “biggest lobbying practice” with a “high-profile client list,” according to the publication—as a “power name” in the region and “one of the few African American market leaders in the industry.” The publication also notes his roles as past chairman of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, current general counsel of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C., Greater Washington Partnership board member and Federal City Council executive committee member.
