Arshi Siddiqui Named a Minority Business Leader by Washington Business Journal

(Washington, D.C.) – Arshi Siddiqui, a partner in the public law and policy practice at Akin Gump, has been named a 2018 Minority Business Leader Award honoree by the Washington Business Journal.
In its profile of Ms. Siddiqui, a former senior policy advisor and counsel to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the Business Journal notes that she works with clients “on navigating Washington and high-profile M&A deals.” She also has an active pro bono practice, working with various nonprofits, such as the Council on Foundations and Lawyers Without Borders. In addition, the profile notes Ms. Siddiqui’s work to support a scholarship fund for Aligarh Muslim University in India, where her mother attended college.
The Minority Business Leader Awards celebrate 25 of the region’s “top minority business owners and executives, each exemplifying a dedication to ethics, giving and leadership.” Honorees were selected from nominations by a panel of judges and Washington Business Journal staff.
