Businessweek Quotes Arshi Siddiqui on Post-Election Fiscal Talks

Arshi Siddiqui, a Washington, D.C.-based partner in Akin Gump’s public law and policy practice, was quoted by Bloomberg Businessweek on the forecast for post-election fiscal talks.
Siddiqui noted, “You get the right people in the room with a will to get to a deal, then it’s not a difficult endeavor.”
Concerning changes in tax revenue options, particularly broadening the tax base to pay for lower rates, she noted that the idea is “something that’s worth exploring. From a Democratic perspective, it will be very much making sure that the middle class doesn’t bear a disproportionate share of anything.”
