Chris LaFollette Named a Finalist in Houston Business Journal “Women Who Mean Business” Awards
(Houston) – Akin Gump Houston office partner in charge Christine “Chris” LaFollette has been named a finalist in Houston Business Journal’s inaugural Women Who Mean Business awards.
The awards recognize “career achievement, contribution to company success, community involvement and leadership” in the categories of for-profit and nonprofit enterprises.
In its profile of Ms. LaFollette, the Journal quoted TGS vice president and general counsel Tana Pool, who said of Ms. LaFollette’s work philosophy and client service, “Chris approaches her practice by immersing herself in all aspects of her clients’ businesses, developing a deep understanding in more than just the matter at hand. She is not just an outside counsel; she is truly a partner in the business team and ensures she is firmly aligned with the client’s objectives.”
