Complete Defense Win in Patent Suit for Akin Gump Client Zynga

(Longview, Texas) – Akin Gump secured a complete defense verdict on behalf of Zynga Inc. in a patent infringement suit brought by Personalized Media Communications LLC. The suit, which was filed last year and tried in the Eastern District of Texas, was a rare defense verdict in a patent case there.

Steven Zager, global head of the firm’s intellectual property practice, led the Akin Gump team representing Zynga at trial. The trial team also included IP partners Todd Landis and Fred Williams, counsel Dan Moffett, and associates Kellie Johnson, John Wittenzellner and Wes Markham.
