Daily Labor Report Publishes Article by Esther Lander and Ashley Keapproth on Big Data Hiring

Daily Labor Report has published the article “Tweet This: Legal Considerations for Big Data Hiring,” co-written by Akin Gump labor and employment partner Esther Lander and counsel Ashley Keapproth.

The article examines the legal principles involved with employee selection screening as it relates to technology. Lander, Keapproth and their co-author David Jones, the founder of candidate assessment firm HRStrategies, discuss how employers should evaluate big data hiring solutions before using them. Failure to do so, they warn, could put one at risk of a successful challenge under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
