Daniel Sinaiko Authors Article on Residential Solar Market
Project Finance International has published an article by Akin Gump energy partner Daniel Sinaiko on the U.S. residential solar market.
The article, “Debt Gains Ground in Residential Solar,” first appeared in Project Perspectives, a publication of Akin Gump’s global project finance practice. It examines whether solar debt financing will soon eclipse the third-party ownership (TPO) model, which experienced robust growth beginning in 2008. Sinaiko notes that debt products, which currently trail the “the tried and true TPO model,” in which the consumer leases the necessary solar equipment, have “opened the discussion on the best value proposition for consumers.”
