Dario Frommer, who joined Akin Gump in November as a partner in its public law and policy practice in Los Angeles, was interviewed by Metropolitan Corporate Counsel about his career as a California legislator. Frommer served as majority leader of the State Assembly under two governors–a job he describes as challenging, though it was “great to play a part in some very, very major legislation.”

The interview also covered Frommer’s time as chair of the Assembly’s Health Committee, chair of the state’s Transportation Committee and other hot issues in the Golden State, such as air pollution, green energy projects and eminent domain.

Frommer’s practice includes providing strategic political advice to key clients and representing them on high-stakes matters before state and local government entities.
