David Burton and Richard Page, partner and associate, respectively, in the tax practice at Akin Gump, have co-authored the article “N.C. Renewable Energy Developments: The Good News And The Bad,” which was published by Power Finance & Risk.

The article surveys the renewable energy industry in North Carolina, noting the positive and negative developments. On one hand, Burton and Page note that the state has delayed the expiration of renewable energy tax credits. On the other hand, they write, North Carolina may soon be freezing an anticipated increase in the percentage of renewable energy that state-regulated utilities are required to purchase.
