Dino Barajas and Akin Gump Again Ranked Among Top Latin American Lawyers and Law Firms

(Los Angeles) – Latinvex, a provider of news and analysis pertaining to Latin American business, has named Akin Gump among the top 50 law firms in Latin America. In addition, cross-border transactions partner Dino Barajas has been named one of the top 100 lawyers in the region.

Law firms are ranked on their overall work and in eight subcategories, including arbitration, banking/finance, capital markets, corporate/M&A, energy, FCPA & fraud, litigation and project finance. The list is based on a combination of factors, including value, prominence and scope of work; references among clients and peers and size of Latin America practice.

The criteria used for the lawyer rankings are based on factors that include recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of one’s firm in Latin America and rankings by third parties such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and Thomson Reuters.

Barajas, Latinvex notes, “has become a leading go-to lawyer when it comes to Mexican energy matters.” The president & CEO of one Mexican energy company singled him and Akin Gump out for their “great knowledge of the market.”
