Diversity & The Bar Magazine Names Natasha Kohne a Rising Star

(Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) – Natasha Kohne, partner in charge of Akin Gump’s Abu Dhabi office, has been selected by Diversity & The Bar magazine as a 2014 Rising Star, one of 12 “future faces of the legal profession.”
Kohne, as the magazine notes, is one of very few women representing global law firms in the Middle East, but she says Akin Gump “took a chance” in giving her the position “in a region that is more traditional.” She says she encourages younger lawyers to be willing to take a chance with their own careers and be able to adapt. It’s also important, she adds, “to anticipate and get in front of changes whenever you can.”
