Ed Zaelke Quoted in North American Windpower on U.S. Army’s Renewable Energy RFP

Ed Zaelke, co-chair of Akin Gump’s global project finance practice, is quoted in North American Windpower discussing the U.S. Army’s recently issued $7 billion renewable energy RFP. The Army is hoping to procure 25 percent of its power from renewables by 2025 and is seeking to purchase the output of solar, wind, geothermal and biomass projects to be built at or near bases. Zaelke says the Army will likely be more interested in the qualifications of candidates, rather than simply the one with the lowest cost.
