Energy Central has published the article “FERC Revises Market Surveillance Data Collection Proposal and MBR Filing Proposal,” written by Akin Gump associate Todd Brecher, partners David Applebaum and Chip Cannon and associate John White, all members of the firm’s energy regulation, markets and enforcement practice.

The article addresses a decision by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to require all market-based rate (MBR) sellers and entities that trade virtual products or financial transmission rights to provide connected entity data. FERC, the article notes, “also proposed certain reforms to the substance and format of information submitted by MBR sellers in connection with the Commission’s MBR program.”
