For Seventh Consecutive Year, Akin Gump Earns Perfect Score on HRC Corporate Equality Index

(Washington, D.C.) – For the seventh year in a row, Akin Gump has earned a perfect score of 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI)—the “national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT employees,” according to the organization.

The CEI’s criteria have four main objectives: provide equal benefits for same-sex partners and spouses, end benefits discrimination for transgender employees and dependents, demonstrate firmwide organizational competency on LGBT issues and demonstrate firmwide public commitment to the LGBT community.

Law firms are invited to participate based on The American Lawyer’s Am Law 200 ranking of firms by revenue.
