House Committee on Appropriations Announces Subcommittee Deadlines for FY 2018 Submissions

The House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations has announced the deadlines for subcommittees to submit their programmatic and language submissions for consideration in the FY 2018 Appropriations bill. Submissions for each subcommittee are due by close of business on the date provided. Instructions for submissions are provided in letters linked by the name of the subcommittee. For each submission, the member is required to provide a letter in electronic form, confirming the entry. The instructions provide reminders that, under the existing earmark policy, earmarks should not be included in the appropriations request. The instructions also require the members to rank their submissions by priority. With regard to co-sponsored requests, each co-sponsor must enter the same request into the online database separately. The Senate Committee on Appropriations has not yet released subcommittee deadlines for FY 2018.
