Houston Bar Association and Harris County Judiciary Honor Akin Gump’s Pro Bono Service

(Houston) – Akin Gump has been selected as the recipient of the 2017 Harris County (Texas) Bench Bar Pro Bono Award in the mid-size firm category.

A committee of Harris County judges and attorneys selected the award winners, based on outstanding contributions to pro bono legal services during 2017. The award was established by the Houston Bar Association and the Harris County judiciary “to recognize outstanding pro bono service by law firms, corporate and individual attorneys.”

Akin Gump will be recognized at a lunch program on April 30. Additionally, the firm’s name will be engraved on the permanent plaques displayed in the lobbies of the Harris County courthouses.
