In The Hill’s Spotlight on Women Lobbyists, Arshi Siddiqui Toasts Her Mentors

Akin Gump public law and policy partner Arshi Siddiqui acknowledged the help and guidance provided by her mentors in The Hill’s article “Lobbyists raise their glass to mentor.”
At a semiannual gathering of some of the top women in the lobbying industry, Siddiqui, a former senior policy advisor and counsel to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, told The Hill that her comfort level in high-pressure environments increased as veteran staffers placed confidence in her.
“I was very lucky to have two mentors who helped me learn how to manage the stickier points of being a leadership staffer—a man and a woman, both institutions on the Hill,” she noted. “Having that guidance made all the difference.”
