John Burke Named One of The Hollywood Reporter’s “Power Lawyers”
John Burke, a partner in Akin Gump's Los Angeles office, has been named a "Power Lawyer" by The Hollywood Reporter. Attorneys selected to the "Power lawyers" list are those who are the "forces behind every deal, dispute and decision in Hollywood."
This is the fifth consecutive year that Mr. Burke has been recognized by The Hollywood Reporter. He was acknowledged for his involvement in major deals such as Goldman Sachs and Assured Guaranty's agreement to provide a credit facility critical to the reorganization of a major independent distributor, as well as for pacts for Comerica Bank and Union Bank to finance movies through Summit Entertainment and Relativity Media, respectively.
