Katherine Katchen Receives Child Advocacy Award

(Philadelphia) – Akin Gump litigation partner Katherine Katchen has received a 2016 “Distinguished Advocate for Children” award from Support Center for Child Advocates, a leading pro bono legal and social service advocacy organization for abused and neglected children in Philadelphia. The award honors those who have devoted “countless hours to improving the lives of traumatized children.”

Ms. Katchen has represented more than a dozen young clients in complex family law and related matters for years. She was recognized at Support Center for Child Advocates’ annual benefit reception and auction on April 13 for her unwavering commitment to the organization’s mission—“to advocate for victims of child abuse and neglect with the goal of securing safety, justice, well-being and a permanent, nurturing environment for every child.”

Ms. Katchen is the hiring partner for Akin Gump’s Philadelphia office and focuses her practice on complex class actions and other commercial litigation.
