Kelli Moll Discusses Hedge Fund Trade Errors with The Hedge Fund Law Report

Kelli Moll, a partner in the investment management practice at Akin Gump, is quoted in an article in The Hedge Fund Law Report on trade errors by hedge fund managers.

The article points out that the SEC has not issued clear guidance as to when a manager must disclose trade errors, but Moll says that if an error “is of a magnitude that it has a material effect on the fund, it can trigger a disclosure obligation to investors.” She adds that, from a compliance perspective, “the SEC certainly expects you to have trade error policies and procedures in place outlining how you handle trade errors; a methodology for tracking those errors; and a process for resolving trade errors.”
