Laredo Petroleum Holdings Turns to Akin Gump for Counsel on Offering

(Houston) – Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP advised Laredo Petroleum Holdings, Inc. in a public offering of 16 million shares of company stock.
Of those 16 million shares, three million are being offered jointly by Laredo Petroleum management and Warburg Pincus. The remaining shares are coming from the company directly. Laredo Petroleum Holdings is an independent energy company based in Oklahoma.
Christine LaFollette, partner in charge of Akin Gump’s Houston office and a member of the firm’s energy and global transactions practice, led the team advising Laredo Petroleum. She was joined by Alexandra Reuss, counsel in the practice.
Akin Gump’s previous work on behalf of Laredo Petroleum includes advising the company earlier this year in the sale of its interests in properties and assets in the Anadarko Basin. More information on that deal is available by clicking here.
