(Houston) – Akin Gump corporate associate Leana Garipova has been honored as May Volunteer of the Month for Georgetown alumni.
Ms. Garipova, the co-president of Houston’s Georgetown Club, was recognized for what her Houston co-president, Carlo Romero, characterized as her bridge-building efforts among business, diplomatic and legal communities in Houston, Moscow and Washington, D.C. Most recently, she organized and moderated a dialogue on U.S. and Russian foreign policy with policy experts and scholars at Georgetown.
