Los Angeles Business Journal Names Marissa Román Griffith to Top Women Attorneys List

(Los Angeles) – Akin Gump entertainment partner Marissa Román Griffith has been named by the Los Angeles Business Journal one of its Top Women Attorneys in Los Angeles.

The Business Journal describes Ms. Griffith as “a recognized leader, groundbreaker and influential player in the media and entertainment sector,” who is one of “the very few senior Latina attorneys in private practice specializing in media and entertainment transactions.”

As part of her practice, Ms. Griffith advises financiers, borrowers, distributors and others “involved in various aspects of the production, financing and distribution of film, television and digital content, including credit facilities, domestic and international co-financing agreements and slate transactions.” In its profile of her, the Business Journal noted that Ms. Griffith has advised clients such as Media Rights Capital (MRC) and its affiliates in connection with MRC’s financing activities in film and TV.
