Marc Hammerson and John LaMaster, partners in Akin Gump’s global energy and transactions practice, have co-edited and contributed several chapters to a new second edition of the book Oil and Gas M&A – A Practical Handbook, which was published by Globe Law and Business. It includes updated chapters from the 2014 first edition, also co-edited by Hammerson and LaMaster, plus several new chapters on environmental considerations, competition law, disputes and dealing with material adverse changes.

With contributions from leading oil and gas lawyers, financial advisors and other industry experts, the second edition is intended to provide a practical review of the unique and highly specialised aspects of oil and gas M&A. The book is geared toward those who participate in oil and gas mergers and acquisitions transactions, including lawyers, bankers, financial advisers, business executives, accountants and tax advisers.
