Mary Brennan Stich Joins Akin Gump as Deputy General Counsel

(Washington, D.C.) – Mary Brennan Stich has joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in San Antonio as the firm’s deputy general counsel.
Ms. Stich previously served as vice president and associate general counsel at Clear Channel Communications, where she oversaw the company’s litigation, labor and employment matters. Earlier, she was the company’s chief litigation counsel.
Before joining Clear Channel in 2000, Ms. Stich served for eight years as the associate dean at St. Mary’s University School of Law. Previously, she worked for 10 years in the commercial litigation practice at Cox & Smith, where she was a shareholder.
Ms. Stich is the past-president of the Central/South Texas Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association and a former treasurer of the San Antonio Bar Association. She is a former president of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and a recipient of the Association’s Belva Lockwood Outstanding Lawyer Award. She is also a former member of the board of the Bexar County Legal Aid Association. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s University and its School of Law.
