Akin Gump Dallas-based litigation partner Michelle Reed has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.  Fellows of the Foundation are selected on the basis of “outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout the state of Texas,” according to the organization.

Ms. Reed’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on representing public companies and their officers and directors in securities litigation, internal investigations, and regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings.  She is also an active pro bono practitioner, lending her time and knowledge to projects such as the Children’s Education Rights Project and the Medical-Legal Partnership for Children at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas and to the South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project (ProBAR).
