National Law Journal Names Akin Gump to “Appellate Hot List” For Fourth Consecutive Year

(Washington, D.C.) – For the fourth year in a row, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP has been named to The National Law Journal’s “Appellate Hot List.”
In selecting firms for inclusion on the Appellate Hot List, the NLJ sought out firms that demonstrated “exemplary, cutting-edge appellate advocacy” and made “singular contributions to appellate practice during the past year.”
The NLJ noted several defining victories by Akin Gump’s nationally renowned appellate practice during 2010, including U.S. v. Stevens, SEC v. Rajaratnam and United Technologies Corp. v. U.S. Department of Defense, in addition to other significant victories involving the insurance industry and the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.
