Akin Gump environment and natural resources practice head Paul Gutermann was quoted by Law360 for its article “Minn. Carbon Emissions Case Sets Path For Future State Regs” on a court challenge to a Minnesota emissions law that blocks electricity from new coal-fired power plants.

Gutermann noted the possible consequences of this law, which follows the enactment by the Environmental Protection Agency of proposed regulations for new coal-fired power plants: “It's another stick added to the pile, and one of them could break the camel's back.”
