Paul Lin, partner in charge of Akin Gump’s recently opened Irvine office, was quoted in the Daily Journal article “A rising tide of investment from Asia lifts Orange County.”  The article discusses Asian business’ increasing interest in real estate, medical device and biotech investments in Orange County.

Lin noted that last year, in particular, there were many private enterprises from both sides of the Pacific making deals.  The article cites his own representation of Orange County computer memory company Kingston Technology in its 2013 acquisition of assets from Taiwan’s Powerchip Technology Corp.  He noted, “There is definitely a strong relationship between Orange County and Asia. Orange County serves as a gateway to many businesses in greater China."
