Project Finance International has published “The New Natural Gas Age in Mexico,” written by Akin Gump cross-border transactions partner Dino Barajas and oil and gas partner Steven Otillar. The article discusses the growing demand in Mexico for natural gas.

In just the past couple years, Barajas and Otillar write, Mexico has become “one of Latin America’s most liberal and open environments for foreign investors in the energy sector.” It is a transformation, they say, that has “provided Mexico with a unique opportunity to leverage private investment to rebuild and develop energy infrastructure.”

The authors proceed to outline the opportunities for U.S. exports in Mexico.
