Richard Welsh Named as One of California's Top Lawyers

(Los Angeles, California) – Richard K. Welsh, a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Los Angeles, has been named by the Los Angeles Daily Journal to its annual list of California’s “20 Under 40.”

The Daily Journal recognized Mr. Welsh for his work as lead counsel for one of the world’s largest energy companies in a high-profile $400 million lawsuit in the San Francisco Bay area and related insurance coverage litigation in Virginia arising from that suit. In addition, the publication cited his work as lead trial counsel in San Mateo County for a videogame developer in a lawsuit involving allegations of over $10 million in lost profits.

Mr. Welsh is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall).
